Paste a Clash / Mihomo subscription URL and update it; the client downloads the nodes, proxy groups and rules. Your subscription URL contains account credentials, so keep it private.
Run a speed test, pick a node, then enable system proxy, VPN or TUN. If something isn't working, check the proxy mode, ports and logs first.

Clash clients for desktop and Android are free and open source. The compatible iOS apps are paid. Proxy nodes (subscriptions) come from third-party providers and are separate from the clients.
